A Wrecked Car Riddled With Bullet Holes

In our feature titled Abandoned Nevada: 10 Ghost Towns, Brothels & Derelict Places of the Silver State, we came across this long-abandoned car wreck, riddled with bullet holes. There are some strange places out there in the western deserts of the United States, and clearly using old clunkers for target practice is nothing out of the ordinary.

The car was photographed by Todd Kopriva in 2008, though it’s quite possibly still out there. The location is the ghost town of Coaldale in Esmeralda County, described by Deb Kelly as “a mid-century ghost town where a sense of hardship, struggle, and pure determination still linger.”
