There are some great photographs to be found in Brett Levin’s urban exploration set on Flickr. The images featured here are among them, and purportedly show a couple of jetliners marked with the image caption “abandoned plane”. While one of the allegedly-abandoned airliners (bottom) has had its engines removed and looks neglected on a weed-infested ramp, the other appears to be in far better condition.

It’s so pristine, in fact, that it’s hard to imagine that the jetliner is abandoned at all. Perhaps our readers can shed some light on this? According to Flickr, the photographs were taken on New Year’s Day 1980, which would make the “abandoned” aircraft early versions of their type.
