Five months ago we featured a series of eerily quiet racing circuits, speedways and dragways across the world, and it seemed appropriate to follow those up with an abandoned racing car. This striking urbex image courtesy of Rui Almeida seemed to be the ideal candidate. The small vintage motor was photographed in June 2016 in a derelict building in Portugal.
While its precise location has been withheld by the photographer, as is common with many subjects of urban exploration, perhaps one of our readers could identify the model and approximate year of manufacture? As far as we can tell it’s a Lotus that competed in Formula Junior motor sport (a class in which Lotus excelled). Either way, it’s a nice image.
